Would you like to learn more?

I was born and raised in a small mountain town nestled deep in the mountains of North Carolina, a place where everyone knew everyone, front doors were rarely locked, and the rhythm of life followed the seasons. It was that close-knit Appalachian community that I learned some of the most important lessons of my life: to listen more than I spoke, how to trust my instincts, and how to find strength, even in silence. These early life lessons taught by family, neighbors, and the land itself became the bedrock of who I am. After college, I eventually moved to a large city.
Trading winding mountain roads for the buzz of a city was like stepping into another world.
The pace was faster, the people were louder, and the expectations were higher. I found myself both intimidated and exhilarated.
I had to learn to adapt, to stand my ground, and to trust the values that i brought with me still mattered, maybe more than ever. It was in that city that I found my calling court reporting. What began as a job became something far more meaningful.
Sitting in the courtrooms and deposition rooms, I became a silent witness to humanity in all its forms. I recorded stories of heartbreak, deceit, love, desperation, and sometimes hope. The things I heard stranger-than-liction confession. And i was the one capturing it all.
